The Patriot of Ukraine (Патріо́т Украї́ни) movement was a wing of the Social-National Party, its successor group Svoboda, and later the Svoboda splinter group the Social-National Assembly, led by Andriy Biletsky. It was briefly a constituent group of the Right Sector coalition before Biletsky and the Social-National Assembly split off from it.

During the Euromaidan uprising, it was a constituent of the National Resistance Headquarters, the militant street wing for the Euromaidan movement.

After the breakout of the War in Donbas in 2014, Patriot of Ukraine members joined various new organisations in order to contribute to the war effort, including the Black Corps and its successor the Azov Battalion, the Eastern Corps Company and the Eastern Corps Movement, Patriot of Ukraine was disbanded later in 2014 in order for its members to focus on the war effort as part of Azov, making it a precursor to the Azov Movement.

The group was later reformed in 2016 as the National Corps, a group linked to Azov Battallion successor the Azov Regiment.

In its 2005 incarnation, it was affiliated to the Social-National Assembly of Ukraine (S.N.A.), an assemblage of far right organizations and groups[6][7][8] founded in 2008 that share the social-national ideology and agree upon building a social-national state in Ukraine.[9][10][11] Both the Patriot of Ukraine and the S.N.A. engaged in political violence against minorities and their political opponents.[5][12][13]

In 2016, former members of the Azov Battalions and the Patriot of Ukraine founded a new party named National Corps.[15]
