The Revanche Battalion (Батальйон РЕВАНШ), also known as the Revanche Tactical Group (Тактична група “Реванш”) or simply “Revanche” (Реванше), is a unit belonging to the Main Directorate of Intelligence, formed from members of the former Tradition and Order organisation, including its former leader Bohdan Khodakovskyi:
The Revanche (reconnaissance) Battalion, commanded by Serhiy Brigadir, was formed at the beginning of the Russian invasion, made up of Ukrainian nationalist volunteers from Kyiv and Kharkiv, many of whom, including the commander, are members of the Conservative Party of Ukraine. This is actually a faction of the former far-right organization Tradition and Order, which was formed by followers of Italian fascism from the Revanche group.
Some of the membership of the unit includes defectors from Right Sector, who split off from the movement due to perceiving its leaders as too moderate, seen in this interview with Alexey ‘Stalker’ Svinarenko:
