Welcome to the Multimedial article of MEGA: The Ukrainian Divide!

This site is essentially an extension of our media platform Entropic Domain, and its purpose is to be a companion piece to the documentary series on YouTube, and can be explored in a non linear fashion, can be used to quickly find something in one of the many subchapters of the documentary, and is the best way of reading up on sources that have been mentioned during the runtime of any of the episodes. This Repository is all encompassing and can even be enjoyed as a primary method of consuming The Ukrainian Divide, so if you are a bookworm, this place is perfect for you!

Explaining The Digital Garden Format

You may wonder why this website looks the way it does, what the weird graph is on the top right of the screen and how you can best navigate it. This page originally was an Obsidian repository, Obsidian being a software that allows users to write markdown files which can link together in order to form visually stunning nodal networks, that quickly visualize how relevant a node is when compared to others. The top right graph is a truncated view, only showing up to two degrees of separation from the node you are viewing now, not only showing nodes directly connected to this page, but also nodes that are directly connected to those mentioned in here. This is done in order to serve a more exploratory method of traversal through the nodes, in case you are keen on straying from the structured lists on the left.

  • Hollow nodes belong to tags, which you can click in order to be taken to a bespoke tag page, which will show you a list of every page under that tag.
  • Lavender colored nodes belong to the episodes, you can for instance check out the Article Index which is connected to this introductory page
  • Cyan colored nodes signify a Ukrainian connection in the Far Right Repository, the page on Andriy Biletsky as an example, is linked as an example node which you can click in the graph
  • Red colored nodes signify a Russian connection in the Far Right Repository, the page on Alexander Dugin serves as a clickable example for the node graph up top
  • Yellow colored nodes signify a Foreign connection in the Far Right Repository, and the clickable example for that color would be Dritte Weg (Germany)

There is a slight variance in colour for the Russian and Ukrainian nodes, with Groups having a slightly deeper hue than People. Check out the graph and hover over the nodes to get a feeling of how this website works!

You can alternatively navigate purely through the in-page links (we’ve added next and previous page buttons and/or index connections to every page to make sure this is possible) or through the Explorer function on the left, which lets you explore by the repo’s folder structure, expand the folders and subfolders through the arrows next to their names to find where the individual pages are then click on the pages to start exploring!

You can also click on the folders themselves to see a list of all the pages/folders inside them, but keep in mind that this is a feature of Quartz that the repo wasn’t designed around, and they have some flaws like:

  • Sometimes ordering the list wrong
  • Including dates that are based on when the files were last edited/added to the repo, which are completely inaccurate to when the content itself was originally written

So for that reason we’d gently recommend you just expand the folders until you get to the notes or use other nav methods, since these were what we designed around, but you do you!

Indexes upon Indexes

How we structured this site is by having multiple tables of content, or “Index pages” which help you get around quickly. The site encompasses both the exploratory Far Right Repository, and the list of Episodes for you to read through, which have their respective organisational structures.

To start reading the Multimedial Article repo, click this link Article Index To start reading the Far-Right repo, click this link 000. INDEX

To learn more about us, we’d encourage you to read the README pages on each repository, you can also read the Foreword to learn about the history of the repository and the documentary as a whole!

Some Tips and Tricks

  • If you quickly want to search something up, use the search bar on the top left of the page. It is very powerful and can help you jump to topics you care about in an instant. If you for instance wanna read up on our takes on NATO Expansion, try searching “NATO” in the search!
  • Plain, blue colored links belong to external websites, while links with a perceivable background, are internal links. Those internal links will bring you to those subpages on click, and when hovered display a full, scrollable preview of the page. Try hovering over this Andriy Biletsky connection to see!
  • You can toggle between light and dark mode clicking on the sun or moon button to the right of the search
  • If you do not like using the graph, you can enter Reader, or “Zen Mode” by clicking on the book icon next to the dark/light mode toggle
  • You can click tags in order to see other pages that are tagged alike!
  • Tired of reading The Ukrainian Divide or the Far Right Repository? You can also check out Bonus Content or engage in further reading! How about that “zzz 01 Other” folder…
